Telephoneme
I’m surprised this hasn’t swept across the blogs yet. Maybe that Arcade Fire / Google collaboration was too distracting. Regardless, MK12 have a new little piece of internet motion graphic goodness available for your viewing pleasure. If you aren’t familiar with MK12, they are a multi-disciplinary design company most well known for their genius, and often copied, motion work for the film Stranger Than Fiction.
Telephoneme is a live action and animation hybrid that is centered around the idea that the alphabet contains hidden, phonetic code. The film itself was inspired by a 60′s era educational film entitled The Alphabet Conspiracy.
Telephoneme is dripping with beautiful, technicolor mid-century tackiness. The colors, animations, and 3d modeling are pitch-perfect. My description cannot do it justice, so click the image above to watch the film for yourself.
